A Brief Review of “Those forgotten memories in conflicts of the Middle East“

Author, The Forgotten Refugee Heritage in Palestine, Refugee Path, 2023

A friend once said that Palestine is similar to Taiwan—both as places on the margins. To be honest, from my perspective, there are still significant differences. After a trip to the Middle East, I felt I had only gained a superficial understanding, without truly grasping the deeper realities. So in 2018, I decided to return to Palestine. Through photography, writing, and food, I sought to explore my own imagination of “home” and “identity.”

During my time there, I worked with the local organization RIWAQ (Ramallah, Palestine), engaging with issues related to society, mobility, and culture, while also contributing to the planning of projects such as Qalandiya International and the Life Jacket initiative.

We believe the most powerful change happens at the edge—where different worlds meet and new possibilities emerge.

Culture
is the
thread.
